How to play
A debate game with consequences. Read this once and you'll never need it again.
Setup
Takes about a minute- 01Shuffle the deck.
- 02Sit in a circle.
- 03Pick a direction.
- 04Take turns drawing.
On your turn
Four steps, every time- 01Draw one card.
- 02Follow the instructions.
- 03Choose who it affects, if the card needs it.
- 04Next player goes.
The three cards
Tell them apart by colorDebate
White text. A statement, or a choice between two things. Pick a side and defend it for one minute.
“Texting or calling. Choose 1. Defend it. 1 minute. No dodging.”
Drink or Do
Take the shots, or do the thing. Every one has an ALT printed on it if you don't drink.
“Drink: 3 shots — or act like you just got caught cheating. ALT: 8 squats.”
Chaos
All purple. Changes the game on the spot, and you don't get a say. Ignore one and you owe a Drink card.
“The next Drink card affects two players. Your choice. No choice.”
ALT
You don't have to
drink to play.
Every Drink or Do card has an ALT printed on it. Swap the shots for the exercise and nothing else changes.
Debating
How a debate card plays out- 01Choose agree or disagree.
- 02Choose a player to debate.
- 03You go first.
- 04One minute each.
Finish early? Maintain eye contact.
Break eye contact or go over time, and you owe a Drink card.
Overtime
Not a card — a penalty- →Go over one minute.
- →Break eye contact.
- →Don't follow a Chaos card.
Each overtime is one owed Drink card. They stack.
Special rule
“Why so serious?”
If a debate becomes too heated, any player may call it.
The current player must either drink, or complete a quick challenge chosen by the caller. They don't get to pick which.
